Cops make arrest after service station break-in

Detectives assigned to the Manchester Police Division have charged 36-year-old Joseph Spencer, of no fixed address, with house breaking and larceny following an incident at a service station on Main Street, Mandeville, in the parish last Saturday.

Reports from the Mandeville police indicate that a woman arrived at work and discovered that the front glass of the establishment was broken. Closed-circuit television footage was reviewed, and Spencer was observed breaking the glass, then entering the building, and stealing gear oil valued at $8,640. The matter was reported to the police, and Spencer was subsequently apprehended and charged.

His court date is being finalised.
