After several weeks of intense and insanely entertaining competition, Tonya 'Ton Travels' Williams is taking home the million-dollar prize as the victor of the second instalment of the Social House competition.

The YouTube reality series saw some of Jamaica's favourite social media personalities going head-to-head for 10 weeks in hopes of taking home the grand prize. From sending tongues wagging and fingers tweeting every week, to eating actual cow tongue and other offals, the gruelling competition pushed the six contestants to their limit.

Speaking with THE STAR at the show's finale held at R Hotel, Ton Travels said she accomplished all that she initially set out to do at the beginning of the show, and she intends to invest her winnings in her growth as a content creator.

"It doesn't feel real. Reality has not set in at all. My main goal was definitely the exposure. I wanted to get my face out there and show brands what I could do. But I also wanted to network, meet other creators and bounce ideas off each other. My favourite part was the fact that it felt like a family. We argued, we got over it, we laughed and we had each other's best interest at heart," she said, before joking that she would use the money to clear her credit card bill.

"I just got back from Peru so I need to take care of that. But seriously, I am definitely going to invest. I want to make Ton a brand," she said.

According to her, it was her competitive nature that fuelled her throughout the show.

"I did not have a strategy going into the competition. I am just a naturally competitive person. I have two sisters and they are just so good at everything they do, so I have just always been a competitive person. I really came into it thinking I was going to do my best in every single challenge. I was going to try and take my time and if I fell on my face, but I was not going to give up," she said.

Tara Playfair Scott, who created Social House, was ecstatic at the more than five million views and more than 100,000 subscribers the series has garnered. She regards it as a massive success.

"I can't believe it is a wrap. This season for me was a lot different. It was my second season but what I did was I tried to blend different personalities and different influencers. I think they all contributed something different and that was what made the show unique," she told THE STAR.

Now without the weekly anxiety of anticipating the next influencer challenge, Ton Travels is ready for her next move.

"I am definitely looking forward to growing my content creation brand," she said.
