Security guard girlfriend gave me an STD - Swears that she has never been unfaithful

January 24, 2022

Dear Pastor,

I am a 34-year-old father of three children. I have been with my girlfriend for eight years. I have been driving taxi for a long time. My girlfriend started doing security work after we had our third child. I was against it, but that was the only thing she could do to help me. The car I am driving is not mine and I have to work hard to give the owner his money and to make something to support myself and my children.

My children's mother is always lying. Even when she is not on duty, she says that she is. I saw text messages in her phone from men. One man was saying how much he loves her and the sex was nice. I confronted her about it and she said mouth is made to say anything and she doesn't know what the man was talking about. When she started to work, she said the company promised that they would not send her to certain places on night duty. But after a while, she enjoyed going on night duty. I had to go home and stay with the children. Sometimes I could never get her on the phone at nights. She claims that she was very busy.

I DONT TRUST HER

I was having a problem and I went to the doctor and the doctor told me that I had contracted an STD. This woman is the only person I had unprotected sex with. She said she could swear on the Bible that I didn't pick that up from her. I told her to go to the doctor. It took her several days before she went. But she wouldn't tell me what the doctor said to her. The children are the only reason why I have not left this woman.

I am hurting. Both of us bought a piece of land to build a house, but I have changed my mind. I don't want to do anything with her. I plan to give her back her money. This woman lies so much. I enjoy doing taxi work. I don't know how long I can continue working so hard while my children's mother is playing around. I don't trust her anymore.

Since I saw the text messages in her phone, she doesn't put her phone down. It is either in her stomach, her pocket or under her pillow when she is sleeping. I am writing to you for your advice, so please advise me.

T.A.

Dear T.A.,

This woman is not telling you the truth and I shouldn't have to tell you that this relationship is finished. I know you love your children, but you will never be able to trust this woman.

She is a liar. Even if she loved you in the past, the love she had for you has died. She is not satisfied to have you only as her lover. She wants more and I am talking about money. She has become an embarrassment to you.

You should never do any business with her. Both of you bought a piece of land. You should try your very best to let her have the money that she gave you to purchase this property. You need to go and see a lawyer and have this matter sorted out. You shouldn't trust this woman. You are a taxi driver and the car is not yours. You are working too hard to be under so much stress with your children's mother. I hope that you will be able to save enough money to buy a vehicle of your own. But with this woman in your life eating you out, so to speak, you will not be able to do so. Discuss custody of the children with your lawyer. I wish you well.
