Dear Pastor,

I am 19 years old and I am having a problem. I have a girlfriend. I love her very much. She is 18 years old. I do not trust her. I am learning a trade, but I am making a little money and, whatever I get, I share it with her. There is not a week that goes by and I do not give her money. I told my mother and sister about her and they sent clothes for her. She told me that some could not fit her so she sold them. My girlfriend is not fat but she is plump. I wasn't against what she did. Sometimes I deny myself certain things so that she can have money to buy what she wants.

I have a sister who is just a year younger than my girlfriend and she told me that my girlfriend is keeping other men with me. I asked her how she knew that and she said she saw them together more than once. I saw my girlfriend with a hot cell phone and when I asked her where she got it from, she said she saved and bought it from the money I gave to her. But my sister told me that it is the man who bought that phone for her. I believe my sister but I love this girl so much, I don't know what to do.

My oldest brother told me to leave her alone because she is going to get me sick. Sometimes I cannot eat when I think that another man is having sex with my girlfriend. Please, give me your advice.

G.S.

Dear G.S.,

This young woman wants more money and you are not able to provide what she wants. I believe your sister is telling you the truth. She doesn't have any reason to lie on your girlfriend. Your mother and sister have sent her clothes but she wants more. So she wants a man who can give her much more than you can. Your brother told you to let her go her way. Your brother has given you good advice.

This girl will take everything that you earn away from you and, while she is taking from you, she will take from other men. So, bring this relationship to an end.
