Bank on Queen Zan in Sunday’s Reggae 6 opener

START Sunday's Reggae 6 by banking QUEEN ZAN to make all along the stands' side at three and a half furlongs straight. But take no prisoners in the second nor sixth, both out the straight course, to have a chance at nailing what could be a decent payout.

On her best day, QUEEN ZAN could possibly break from stall one and still beat $200,000 claimers at the minimum straight trip for older horses.

Leaving gate nine in a 12-horse field, QUEEN ZAN should be lonely along the stands' side, flashing past the post ahead of rivals BIG GUY IN THE SKY, SUDDEN FLIGHT and SILVER FOX, lined up like sitting ducks in mid-track.

The second event at four furlongs straight for four-year-olds could very well be won by LUCY ON THE GO, a maiden winner last Saturday for Peter John Parsard. However, beating four-year-old maidens in November suggests most of those runners will start 2026 as five-year-olds without a win, exposing the strength of LUCY ON THE GO's win.

To be on the safe side, blanket the event with any runner, who has shown speed in the past. It's a blink sprint, which could go either way with no dominant speed horse in the line-up.

UNCLE PECK has been begging for a distance of ground since winning at a mile in June. Stretched out at seven and a half furlongs in the third, the United States-bred will be hard to beat among native four-year-olds.

DIESEL TRAIN showed his worth on his second start, lasix administered, when beaten by RALPH'S TREASURE at six furlongs last Sunday. Returning a week later at five furlongs round, DIESEL TRAIN is a worthy banker in the fourth at five furlongs round.

Spread bets among four speedsters in the fifth at five furlongs straight. JAGUAR has speed but breaks from stall one to meet TALONA, THE HOT DANCER and CATABA in mid-track. The strongest finisher will prevail among the speedsters.

Throw the kitchen sink at the sixth event. MIDNIGHT FLIGHT is the course-specialist but ran terribly on the round course on October 20. However, a turnaround in form would not surprise. Stay safe by using all proven speed horses but do not omit WHISKY from any combination.
