Local celebrities join #BlackOutTuesday campaign
Sports stars, artistes and celebrities around the world have joined in the #BlackOutTuesday campaign reflecting on the death of George Floyd while in the custody of the police in Minneapolis in the United States.
In a black Square on his Instagram account, artiste Bounty Killer added the caption: "By any means necessary."
Artiste Agent Sasco posted "Today is not the day for your selfie or the latest tik tok routine, but for the sharing of information relevant to the cause. We should not be silenced."
Other celebrities who have joined the cause include Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, Skatta Burrell, Romain Virgo and Tanya Stephens, Tarrus Riley and Asafa Powell.
International superstar Rihanna posted "we ain’t buying sh*t!!! and we ain’t selling sh*t neither!! gang gang! #BLACKOUTTUESDAY AF!!!"
