Residents of Denham Town were in an irate mood yesterday evening after a Jamaica Defene Force patrol vehicle crashed in the community, injuring two residents and damaging property. The accident took place on Blount Street in the western Kingston community.

"Di man dem wasn't no idlers, a work one a dem a come from and when me realise what a guh happen me couldnt even bawl out to dem," one alleged eyewitness told THE STAR. "Yuh wah see how dem a blaze come round the corner and just mash up the people dem."

There were scores of residents on the scene when THE STAR visted the community last night. The overturned patrol vehicle, a badly damaged civilian car and a damaged shop were evidence of the earlier mishap. Police and military personnel worked overtime to get the crowd under control even as they prevented the news team from conducting interviews or photographs of the scene.

At press time last night, the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force said it is aware of the crash but could not provide details.
